As part of the Erasmus+ staff mobility program, our colleague Dejana Nedimović stayed in Zaragoza, Spain, where she attended the professional training course “Designing EU Projects with Purpose” from November 11 to 14, 2025. The training was organized by Smart Institute (Smart Idea, svetovanje in izobraževanje) under the guidance of educator Igor Razbornik.
The training focused on contemporary approaches to the development and writing of EU projects, with special emphasis on the use of AI tools in project management. During the intensive program, Dejana Nedimović had the opportunity to enhance her knowledge and practical skills, which will directly contribute to the further development of the project team at ICEPS.
A particular value of the training was reflected in its practical character — more than half of the activities were based on the direct application of acquired knowledge through computer-based work and the simulation of real project processes.

Dejana Nedimović especially emphasized the high level of organization and professionalism of the partner institution Smart Institute, rating the quality of the training and teaching materials with the highest marks. She also highlighted that the administrative and logistical support throughout the entire mobility process was exceptional, allowing her to fully dedicate herself to learning and professional development.
In addition to the professional aspect of the program, the mobility also provided her with valuable international experience. Dejana Nedimović collaborated and exchanged experiences with participants from Estonia, Portugal, Italy, France, Croatia, Bulgaria, and Greece, in an atmosphere of open communication and excellent team spirit.
Speaking about her stay in Spain, Dejana Nedimović particularly highlighted the warmth of the hosts and the cultural experience she gained during the mobility:
“Spanish people have wonderful energy and are very similar to us – cheerful, open, and communicative. The group atmosphere was fantastic, and we connected very easily.”
As part of the program, a guided tour of Zaragoza was also organized, during which participants had the opportunity to learn more about the city’s landmarks, history, and rich cultural heritage.

Based on her experience, Dejana Nedimović recommends the Erasmus+ mobility program for non-teaching staff to all colleagues who wish to improve their professional competencies and gain international experience in their field of work.
