National Projects

Period: October 2025

Description: This project aimed to raise awareness about the importance of breast screening examinations and to educate women about breast self-examination. As a result, 353 women underwent breast ultrasound examinations with no suspicious changes detected. Also, an interactive lecture with ICEPS lecturers on the importance of screening and self-examination was held for 50 ICEPS students.

Period: November – December 2023

Description: This project was organized during November, the month dedicated to the fight against drug abuse, through an interactive educational panel discussion with ICEPS lecturers aimed at raising young people’s awareness of the harmful effects of psychoactive substances, cigarettes, hookah, and e-cigarettes. It also encouraged young people to choose healthier lifestyles and avoid risky behavior through knowledge and prevention. At ICEPS, the session was delivered to a group of 30 students.

Description: This project was organized to educate young people about different forms of violence, legal sanctions, and the steps they can take when they recognize violence in their surroundings. Its aim was to reduce tolerance toward violence and to familiarize young people with legitimate mechanisms for reporting it. ICEPS acted as a project partner and host venue, providing the premises, engaged teaching staff as lecturers on this topic, and reached 70 students as the target audience for the educational activity.

Period: November-December 2025

Description: The project aimed to raise awareness about people living with HIV, reduce stigma, and improve knowledge about routes of HIV transmission. An interactive lecture was organized for students in order to provide education on HIV transmission and prevention. In addition, on 1 December 2025, a public event was held to mark World AIDS Day, during which citizens were informed about the routes of HIV transmission and the importance of prevention.

Role of ICEPS: 30 ICEPS students took part in these informative activities.

Period: October 2025

Description: This project focused on raising awareness about malignant diseases, with particular emphasis on lung cancer and breast cancer. It covered two awareness dates: 1 August – World Lung Cancer Day and 24 October – World Breast Cancer Day. As part of the project, an interactive educational session was organized for the public to increase their knowledge of breast cancer risk factors.

Role of ICEPS: 40 ICEPS students were also introduced to the correct technique of breast self-examination through a practical demonstration using a torso simulator.

Period: November 2024

Description: This project was organized to raise awareness among young people, especially future health professionals, about the harmful effects of psychoactive substances. Particular attention was given to different forms of substance use, including new synthetic drugs that are increasingly present among young people at parties. Activities were conducted in the form of panel discussions that educated students and encouraged informed and responsible health-related choices.

Role of ICEPS: The educational activities were carried out in ICEPS premises with 70 ICEPS students, who participated as the main target group of the project.

Description: This educational activity was organized with the aim of familiarizing young people with the main risk factors for prostate cancer and testicular cancer and teaching them the proper technique of testicular self-examination using a simulator model. The activities were carried out as an interactive educational session, allowing students to gain both theoretical knowledge and practical skills related to early detection and prevention.

Role of ICEPS: ICEPS provided the space for the activity, while 50 ICEPS students took part in these educational activities.

Description: This project was organized to mark 1 August, World Lung Cancer Day, and 24 October, World Breast Cancer Day, while also educating young people about the risk factors associated with breast cancer and promoting the importance of prevention and early detection. Interactive educational workshops were held in which students learned the correct technique of breast self-examination using a breast simulator model. The workshops combined educational and practical elements in order to improve students’ awareness and knowledge of breast health.

Role of ICEPS: ICEPS provided the space for the activity, while 40 ICEPS students attended workshops as the target audience.

Description: This project was organized to educate young people about the importance of safe driving and to raise awareness of the consequences of traffic-related injuries and accidents. As part of the project, an interactive educational session was held for a group of ICEPS students in order to promote responsible behavior in traffic and encourage safer driving habits.

Description: This project was organized to educate young people about the correct technique of testicular self-examination and the main risk factors associated with testicular cancer. As part of the project, educational workshops were held in which students were able to learn and practice the proper self-examination technique using a testicular simulator model. The activity combined practical demonstration and health education in order to promote early detection and prevention.

Description: This project was organized to mark 31 May, World No Tobacco Day, with the aim of educating young people about the harmful effects of smoking, with special attention to new tobacco and nicotine products that are particularly attractive to youth, such as electronic cigarettes and hookahs. As part of the project, interactive educational workshops were held for students in order to raise awareness about tobacco-related health risks and encourage healthier lifestyle choices.
