As part of the Erasmus+ staff mobility program for teaching assignments, our lecturer, M.Sc. Eng. of Electrical and Computer Engineering, Andrijana Pušica, visited the partner institution Alma Mater Europaea University in Maribor, Slovenia, from March 10 to 14, 2025, where she conducted teaching activities as part of her professional engagement.

During the mobility, Andrijana delivered lectures to students of the Social Gerontology study program, which integrates the fields of administration, social work, and healthcare with the aim of improving the quality of life of the elderly population. Her lectures focused on modern approaches to education, challenges in online teaching, and strategies for increasing student motivation and attendance. Through this experience, she gained new knowledge and skills that she will directly apply in her future teaching at ICEPS.

Teaching in front of an international audience contributed to her confidence in public speaking and brought greater professional freedom in her pedagogical approach. She emphasized the value of open discussions in teaching, noting that this form can offer long-term benefits for students. The opportunity to present her work before the university senate, including a meeting with the rector, further contributed to her professional growth.

In addition to teaching, the mobility included numerous meetings with representatives of educational institutions from Croatia, Estonia, Lithuania, and Spain, during which important connections were made and potential future collaborations discussed. Andrijana especially highlighted the invitation to an international conference on the use of digital tools in education, opening new possibilities for professional development and institutional cooperation.

As an added value, she pointed out the opportunity to explore innovative diagnostic equipment, such as the TMG device for sports diagnostics, as well as visits to local healthcare institutions, cultural landmarks in Maribor, and the nearby wine region. The organizers arranged a rich cultural program, including a city tour, a visit to a local winery, and joint dinners, providing a pleasant and engaging environment for networking with colleagues from different countries.

Satisfied with the overall experience, Andrijana has already recommended the mobility program to her colleagues and expressed her willingness to promote it further. She emphasized that such forms of professional development bring new energy and ideas, along with a desire to make a broader impact through teaching—not only in Belgrade but also regionally and internationally.

We sincerely thank Andrijana for her excellent representation of ICEPS on the international stage and are delighted that she had a positive and inspiring mobility experience.
